Strawberry-Orange Jam
Ingredients
- 2, 10 oz. packages strawberries, frozen
- 1 whole medium orange
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/2 box pectin
- 3 1/2 cups sugar
Thaw 2 1/4 cups or 2 10 oz. packages of strawberries. Wash the
orange thoroughly. Cut orange in halves, remove seeds and core,
do not peel. In a food processor, grind whole orange. Combine
strawberries, orange and water in a large kettle. Add pectin.
Stir well. Then place on high heat. Stirring constantly, bring
quickly to full rolling boil. Add sugar. Continue stirring and
bring back to a full rolling boil. Boil hard 1 minute, stirring
constantly. Remove from heat; skim and stir alternately for 5
minutes. Pour into jelly jars and seal leaving 1/8" from top of
jar.
