Hamburger Pineapple Burgers
Serves 6
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
- 6 ozs. club soda
- 1 can pineapple slices, 4 oz.
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 or more drops hot pepper sauce
- 1 tablespoon vinegar
- 1 teaspoon curry powder
- 1 can water chestnuts, 8 oz., drained
- 1 tablespoon flour
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions
Season ground beef with salt and pepper and shape into 6
patties and set aside. Place remining ingredients, except flour,
in a skillet and simmer about 20 minutes. Remove pineapple
slices. Add flour to mixture and simmer until thickened. Broil or
grill patties to your likeing. Serve hamburgers on serving plate,
top with a pineapple slice and pour hot sauce over top.
