Hamburger Wellington
Serves 4
Ingredients
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 1 package refrigerated crescent rolls
- 2 tablespoons catsup
Directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Combine meat, mustard, egg, salt
and pepper in a bowl. Mix well and shape into 4 patties. Cook
patties in a skillet or grill to your likeing. Set aside. Unroll
crescent rolls and seperate into 4 rectangles. Place on lightly
floured board and roll out to 1/4 inch thick. Place a cooked
patty on each rectangle and spread with catsup. With a sharp
knife, trim dough to about a 2 inch margin around patty. Fold
around patty completely. Press tightly to seal. Place wrapped
side down on a greased cookie sheet. Cut tiny slits around lower
edge for steam vents. Bake 15 to 20 minutes until golden brown.
