Spicy Meatloaf

Serves 4

Ingredients

1 pound lean ground beef
1/2 pound hot Italian sausage
1/2 cup chopped onions
2 cloves minced garlic
1 egg, beaten
3 tablespoons catsup
2 tablespoons red wine
4 tablespoons bread crumbs
2 teaspoons crumbled rosemary
green or red bell pepper rings for garnish

Directions

Remove casings from hot sausage and combine with ground meat. In the same bowl add chopped onion, minced garlic, egg and catsup. Mix well. You may use chili sauce instead of catsup. Add wine and bread crumbs and mix well. Shape mixture into a loaf. Place into a loaf pan and sprinkle rosemary on top. Bake at 350 degrees for about 1 hour. Let it sit in loaf pan for about 10 minutes. Garnish with pepper rings.
