Tropical Punch
Serves 30 to 35
Ingredients
- 1 large watermelon
- One 46 oz. can red Hawaiian fruit punch
- One 6 oz. can frozen pink lemonade concentrate
- One 6 oz. can frozen orange juice concentrate
- One 6 oz. can frozen pineapple juice concentrate
- 6 cups cold water
- One 12 oz. bottle cold ginger ale
Stand watermelon on end. Cut thin slice off bottom to make it level. Cut top third off melon. Using cup as a guide, trace scallops around top outside edge of melon. Carve scalloped edge, following pattern. Scoop out fruit; serve later. Chill melon shell.
Combine all fruit juices, water and mix well to dissolve. Add about 3 trays of ice cubes to chilled melon shell. Pour juice mixture over cubes. Resting the ginger ale bottle on the rim of melon, carefully pour ginger ale down side. Mix with and up and down motion. Float orange and lime slices.
