Ruby Wine Punch
Makes 7 cups
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup cold water
- 3/4 cup sugar
- One 6 inch cinnamon stick
- 1 teaspoon whole cloves
- Dash of salt
- 2 cups Burgundy wine
- 1 quart cranberry-apple juice
- 1 lemon thinely sliced
In a saucepan, combine water, sugar, cinnamon stick, cloves, and salt; bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes; strain. Chill syrup. Combine syrup, wine and cranberry-apple juice. Pour over ice in punch bowl and float lemon slices.
