Clam Canapes
Serves 4
Ingredients
- 1 can chopped clams, drained
- 1 teaspoon minced onion
- 1 tablespoon chives, snipped
- 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
- 2 tablespoons green bell pepper, finely chopped
- 1 can refridgerated crescent dinner rolls
Directions
Drain clams and reserve juice. Mix onion with 1 teaspoon of the clam juice and let stand for a minute or so. Mix clams, chives, onion, cream cheese and bell pepper. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Open can of rolls and unroll on a floured surchace. Spoon about 1 tablespoon of clam filling in the middle of the roll. Fold dough over filling and press the edges with the tines of a fork to seal. Prick top of turnover. Place on a greased cookie sheet and bake for 10 minutes or until golden brown.
