Scotish Egg
Serves 6
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground hot or sweet sausage
- 6 hard boiled eggs
- 1/3 cup flour
- 1 cup bread crumbs
- 2 eggs beaten
Directions
Roll out sausage to form 6 patties 1/4 inch thick and 6 inches
in diameter. Shell hard boiled eggs and roll in flour. Place egg,
large end down in the middle of the patty. Pull up sausage around
egg totally and seal tightly. Roll sausage bundle in beaten egg,
then in bread crumbs. If you wish, you can do it a second time.
Deep fry until golden brown and cooked through. About 2 minutes.
