Barbecued Short Ribs
Ingredients
- 2 to 3 pounds beef short ribs
- 1/3 cup flour
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1/2 cup water
- 3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons vinegar
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 dashes tabasco sauce
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 6 large carrots
- 6 to 8 whole medium potatoes
Directions
Dredge short ribs in flour. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat; brown short ribs on all sides. Combine ketchup, water, Worcestershire sauce, vinegar, chili powder, salt, Tabasco, and onion; pour over short ribs. Cover and simmer 1 hour, until short ribs are tender. Add carrots and potatoes; cover and cook 30 to 40 minutes longer.
