Fried Soft Shell Crab
Serves 6
Ingredients
- 1 cup of all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 12 whole soft shell crabs, cleaned
- oil for frying
Mix together flour, salt, pepper, and baking powder. Dredge crabs in flour mixture to coat well on both sides. In a large frying pan, heat about 1/2 inch of oil to 375 degrees. Add crabs slowly and turn heat down to 350 degrees. Cook until golden brown on both sides. Drain on paper towels. NOTE: sometimes when you add the crabs to hot oil, they might pop, be carefull and stand away from skillet.
