Orange Scented Chocolate Sauce
Ingredients
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 ozs. sweet baking chocolate, broken into pieces
- 2 tablespoons orange juice, freshly squeezed
- 1/2 teaspoon orange rind, grated
Directions
Melt butter in heavy saucepan. Add chocolate and stir until smooth. Stir in orange juice and rind, adjusting to taste. Makes 1/2 cup sauce. Timesaver Tip: Recipe can be prepared up to 5 days ahead and stored, covered, in refrigerator. Gently reheat in a saucepan or in a microwave oven. Serve a pool of this rich sauce topped with fresh fruit such as strawberries, bananas, peaches, or pears. It's also good with ice cream or a rich fruit sorbet (sherbet). Double the recipe and you'll have a terrific chocolate fondue.
