Put garlic into a blender with basil and parsley; purée. Start adding olive oil to this thick purée a little at a time. Add cheese and pine nuts; purée; continue adding oil until finished sauce is like creamed butter, adding more oil if too thick. This sauce freezes well. This sauce is eaten by Italians with all kinds of pasta; it can also be used on a baked potato instead of butter, and is good stirred into vegetable soup.
