Apple Stuffed Chicken Breasts

Ingredients
- 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 1/2 cup apples, peeled -- chopped
- 2 tablespoons shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 tablespoon bread crumbs, seasoned
- 1 tablespoon butter or margarine
- 1/4 cup dry white wine
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 1/2 teaspoons cornstarch
Combine apples, cheese, and bread crumbs. Set aside. Flatten
chicken breasts to 1/4 inch thick. Divide the apple mixture
between chicken breasts, roll up, jelly roll style, and secure
with toothpicks. Melt butter in a medium skillet over medium
heat and brown the chicken breasts evenly on all sides. Add
wine and water, cover and simmer for about 15 minutes. Transfer
chicken to a serving dish. Mix 1 tablespoon of water with
cornstarch; stir into pan juices and cook until thickened.
Pour gravy over chicken.
